Creating Bridges Without Becoming Their Hostage

June 21, 2026 · Reflections

Some bridges are necessary. They carry us across distances we could not cross alone, between silence and speech, isolation and contact, wound and understanding.

But a bridge becomes a prison when we forget it was made for crossing. What once opened movement can slowly become an identity, a place where we wait, repeat, and call our waiting devotion.

To create without becoming hostage is to honor connection without surrendering the inner ground. It is to meet the other side without abandoning the self that began the journey.

The deepest bridges do not ask to be worshipped. They ask to be crossed with awareness, gratitude, and the courage to keep walking.
